St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill unveils hybrid operating room

GE Healthcare?s Discovery IGS 730 system is cutting-edge technology that is available at two places in the world and St. Luke?s University Hospital in Fountain Hill is one of them. On Friday the hospital unveiled the GE system in its hybrid operating room, which allows doctors to perform traditional and minimally invasive surgeries in one setting, officials said. Speaking is Dr. Hal Folander, St. Luke?s chair for Radiology, as Carol McGee, supervisor for Interventional Radiology, moves the unit.
